Puppy Love

When we are young we have someone we like, or care about; maybe even sometimes we say “I love you” to them. But I doubt in our adolescent years we understand what real love is, so we can call that “Puppy Love”
Not like we’re dogs but that our love is small and tender like a puppy.
Age is just a number, but that number measures on4e’s capabilities and one’s logical understanding of certain concepts.
There are a few cases where puppy love grows, to adult love, then engagement, then marriage and so on…
Straight out the urban cit6y of Compton were two young souls, Lavette and Ronald. They were neighbors, cubby mates, nap-time neighbor, project partners, and her date to the school dances, church family members, and kids who knew each other since, the diaper days.
In elementary people, discarded their love as just crushing, and then grew into strong like in middle school, then boyfriend and girlfriend I high school. She was a different path, accepted To ten Ivy League colleges he drifted towards the world of drugs, sex, and alcohol. She wanted to stay with him but his lifestyle became a distraction to hers once he got hook on Heroine, and Cocaine. 4 years separated she came home to visit for the holidays and saw he was a changed man at church, but it would only take a miracle for her to take him back and it did. He prayed and hoped, and wished until one day, she fell right into his arms, the puppy love that everyone thought wouldn’t stand the test if time is still going on. They married at 22 years old, and have now been married for 35 years.
We can determine what real or fake love is until we experience it, and they are one of the happiest and prosperous couples I know today.
Lavette loved him so much she forgave him, and helped him stay on God’s path. Not all stories have a fairytale ending like this one but surprisingly this one had a shocking turn around.
I believe in love, but all my love encounters until ow 2016 were pure bullshit, more so lust then anything else. I just found the true meaning to love. For some people it comes easy for others it doesn’t but when you do find real love, no matter how old you are.
NEVER LET IT GO…
